The State Border Service has presented a system for fixing biometric data of foreigners and stateless persons, information from which will be transferred to the National system of verification and identification of Ukrainian citizens, foreigners and stateless persons.
The presentation took place at the Zhulyany airport, Ukrinform reported.
"We are present today at the actual launch of the biometric data control system, which already works at the Zhulyany airport," said NSDC Secretary Oleksandr Turchynov during the presentation.
Obligatory fixing of biometric data will apply to citizens of the designated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs list of 71 countries, including the Russian Federation, as well as Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, India, Afghanistan, etc., which are classified as risky, and the rest of foreigners - by the results of analysis and risk assessment.
